Considering herself a nomad, Joyce Wang spent part of her life a bit everywhere. Studying in Boston, the UK, and the Royal College of Art, the interior designer got the background, the know-how, and the experience that is much appreciated in the industry. Today, she designs spaces where she feels people can feel great with themselves and have fun in the midst of the confidence provided by the space. The designer works on every type of project, but her specialty is hospitality and commercial spaces.
Xintiandi Penthouse
A three-story penthouse with views overlooking the lake and city skyline. It is the home of a family who entertains frequently, so it was necessary to create public areas that feel special, providing a generous but intimate backdrop for parties and dinners. By contrast, the more private areas are like a retreat for the family.
Mott 32 Las Vegas
Located in the heart of the Venetian Resort on Las Vegas’ Strip, Joyce Wang Studio unveils the opulent, East-meets-West design of Mott32 Vegas. Seamlessly fusing the two cultures, the Studio’s vision was to celebrate the hedonism of the Vegas location whilst paying homage to the Chinese imperialism meets New York Industrialism aesthetic of the original Mott 32 in Hong Kong.
Seymour Road Residence
An interior concept for a high-end show apartment in Hong Kong’s Mid-levels. The intended client would be a global traveler, placing great value on the importance of home. Joyce Wang built a narrative around the design that combined beautiful materials, furniture, objects and art from around the world – the collection of an owner with good taste whose home tells the story of their life.
Jin Gui
Jin Gui is located in the underbelly of the Tortue Hotel, Hamburg. By nature of the location, guests are invited along a journey as one descends into this secluded, Pan-Asian restaurant and discover its openness to a historic courtyard. Jin Gui meaning golden tortoise in Chinese nods to the unique story of a French woman parading down this courtyard with her rare tortoise on a leash during the heyday of Stadthofe. The Studio approached the interiors by personifying the qualities of this woman, the muse. They are captivated by her flair, eye for the avant-garde and penchant for exhibitionism.
The Entertainment Suite
Dedicated to extravagant entertaining, the hotel’s newest and largest suite measures an expansive 2,250 square feet, providing guests with the ultimate retreat for socializing or relaxing.
Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park
“Working on the redesign of the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has been an incredible and at times, surreal experience. It had been a dream of mine to work on a building of significant heritage in a city I hold very dear”. – Joyce Wang

Minnelli Nightstand by Essential Home
Minnelli nightstand is a curvy wood frame upholstered with a textured cloth and supported by a polished golden brass base make this piece stand out for its simplicity. It contains a single drawer at the bottom, leaving half of the frame empty, which is very stylish and gives it a light presence and a sense of openness.
