We venture ourselves today in Oslo, the capital of Norway, to bring you amazing design shops and showrooms that you must pay a visit to! The strong point of Oslo’s design scene is Scandinavian design but, in these 10 shops, you’ll find a mix of styles for every taste!
#1 – Bolia Grünerløkka
Bolia offers you beautiful Scandinavian design with a sustainable and creative outlet. All crafted, tailored, and perfected by hand and turned into the beautiful design not indulging in passing voyages but serving the ageless, the classic, and the everlasting. And that is New Scandinavian Design in our humble opinion.
#2 – ESKE
ESKE is owned by Karina Holmen and Simon Bartley. Karina is passionate about interior design and, in addition to the shop, does both private and commercial interior design projects. For more than 20 years, she has delivered some of the most well-known interior design projects in the café, pub and restaurant industry in Norway. She is often based on Eske’s collection but also has a strong focus on the use of vintage and unique objects.
#3 – Inventarium
Grünerløkka’s smallest retro interior design shop sells modern art and an eclectic mix of furniture, lamps, glassware and ceramics. The premises is also home to UNiK Oslo, a movement that works to sustain a positive urban development at Grünerløkka.
#4 – Fosfor Lamps
Fosfor Lamps is a vintage lamp shop and coffee bar at Grünerløkka, Oslo, with a small gallery of design. The shop sells vintage industrial lamps from the brands Jielde, Mazda, Siemens and Thorlux.
#5 – Norway Designs
Interior design store with Norwegian, Nordic and European design articles and more than 50 years of history. Norway Designs is the place to go for art glass, ceramics, fashions, silver jewelry, finer paper products and stationery, kitchen utensils, textiles, watches or small Scandinavian design products.
#6 – Oslo Kunsthandel
Norwegian and international art dealer with high-quality pieces from all eras with an incredible rich showroom in Oslo. In cooperation with Sølvesen Myhre Berntsen Antiques, Oslo Kunsthandel can also offer the best of Norwegian and international antiques and design objects.
#7 – Pur Norsk
Norwegian design shop with high-quality Norwegian design products, including furniture, personal items, original curiosities and things for children. All the products at Pur Norsk are Norwegian in some way; either the idea or design is Norwegian, or the products are manufactured in Norway.
#8 – Six Bond Street

#9 – Søstrene Grene
At the interior design boutique Søstrene Grene you can find everything from furniture, games and cooking utensils, to office supplies and candles. Søstrene Grene is a Danish company, founded in Aarhus in 1973 by sisters Anna and Clara Grene. Søstrene Grene has other branches across Norway.
#10 – Tannum
For more than 80 years, Tannum has sold furniture, lighting, carpets and textiles from leading manufacturers and world-renowned designers. They strive to sell products with high quality, good functionality and a modern design. This was Per Tannum’s basic idea – and it is today continued by the 3rd generation.
